Projects for 2016
Sole Hope
The Jordan Miranda Memorial Foundation was excited to help Sole Hope in their mission to provide shoes for children in Uganda to prevent crippling foot-related diseases.
Using Jordan’s jeans as the recycled material, we were able to cut patterns for numerous shoes. The cut-out patterns, along with a check to cover the cost of completing the shoes, was sent to Sole Hope.
Compassion International
Jordan was impressed with the mission of Compassion International. His family has sponsored a wonderful young man in Rwanda for years.
Due to our positive past experience with the organization, the Jordan Miranda Memorial Foundation was quick to provide support. We funded a well to provide clean drinking water. We purchased chickens to not only provide a continuous source of good nutrition, but to provide the family with eggs to sale for income. In addition, we have provided funding for emergency nutrition for children in need.
Everybody Counts
The Jordan Miranda Memorial Foundation partnered with Everybody Counts Ministry in Pueblo, Colorado to provide warm socks, gloves, and hats for the homeless. On December 18, 2016, we met in Mineral Palace Park to distribute the winter accessories along with homemade cookies. The temperature was a very chilly 18° F, so the items were much appreciated.
Every Counts is an inspiring ministry dedicated to feeding the homeless. We anticipate providing support to them in the future.
